| Software Testing Engineer (QA/Testing) Job Description Responsibilities: This professional QA programming/testing position will be responsible for the quality aspects of moderate to complex UI-less components running on a non-Windows based security appliance. The position includes duties such as white box testing, design and implementing test tools in C++, performing code reviews, conducting design reviews, actively participating in the QA process, and being responsible for writing and executing test plans and test specifications. Success Factors: The candidate must be action-oriented; detail centric; ability to work independently and set priorities; strong problem solving skills; good written and verbal communication skills; ability to follow through on implementation projects; ability to collaborate with others. Desired Profile The successful candidate will have 1+ years of applicable professional QA experience or as a specialist in applicable technologies. The candidate should also have a BS in Computer Science or 1-2 years experience with C/C++ programming in Windows and UNIX/Linux. Experience in two or more of the following areas are preferred: test automation, network security, quality assurance methods, appliance testing and debugging, testing network hardware, intrusion detection, firewalls, and static code analysis, VxWorks experience is a plus.
